A few things that help every Fufu and Vibes feel welcoming.
These exist to keep the room warm, the experience smooth, and every guest looked after. Nothing here is heavy lifting.
A reservation is required
Guests must be at least 16
The experience is built around active participation and is not designed as a children's event.
Only registered guests
Please don't bring an unregistered plus one. If a friend wants to join, point them at the list.
No weapons of any kind
Our gatherings are weapon-free spaces, including at the venue and surrounding areas.
No smoking or vaping inside
Out of care for the room and the food. Outdoor smoking areas will be noted at the venue.
Respect your fellow guests and hosts
Everyone in the room arrived for the same reason. A little care goes a long way.

It's a quick process, designed to be friendly and reassuring rather than legalistic. Most guests complete everything in a few minutes, online, ahead of the event. If you haven't completed it by the day of, we'll help you finish at check-in.

What is Fufu and Vibes?
Fufu and Vibes is an African cultural experience centered on the tradition of pounded yam. It brings together food, music, and community in one room. The pounding of the yam happens in front of you, with guests invited to take part.
How does the experience work?
Each participant receives access to a mortar and pestle station and takes part in the traditional process of pounding yam. Hosts demonstrate the process and provide guidance throughout the experience, so guests learn by participating.
The pounded yam each guest makes becomes part of their own experience during the event. Food, soup, and accompanying items are prepared separately by the hosts. The experience is designed to be interactive, educational, and enjoyable.
Do I need cooking experience?
No experience is required. Fufu and Vibes is designed for beginners and first-time participants. This is a hands-on experience where guests actively take part in the traditional process of making pounded yam using a mortar and pestle, with hosts guiding you throughout.
Can I just watch?
Fufu and Vibes is designed as a participatory experience. Guests are encouraged to take part in the activities and cultural experience. The event is built around learning, engagement, and shared participation.
Can I attend alone?
Absolutely. Many guests attend on their own and quickly become part of the experience. You are also welcome to come with friends, family, or a group. Fufu and Vibes is designed to be social, welcoming, and community-oriented.
What food will be available?
The experience centers around pounded yam and the cultural traditions surrounding it. Additional food accompaniments may be provided as part of the experience. Specific offerings may vary by event.
Will drinks be available?
Yes, drinks are part of the gathering. The specific drink offerings for each event are shared closer to the date, and we always include non-alcoholic options.
What should I wear?
There is no formal dress code. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and respectfully. Smart casual attire is recommended, and clothing should be suitable for an interactive cultural experience. Footwear should be comfortable and appropriate for standing and participation.
Will photos and videos be taken?
Photos and videos may be captured during the event for memories and future promotional purposes. By attending, guests acknowledge that photography and videography may occur.
Can guests under 18 attend?
Guests must be at least 16 years old to attend. All attendees must have a reservation. The experience is designed for active participation and is not intended as a children's event. Children and unregistered guests are not permitted.
How do I receive updates?
By joining the list above. You will receive event announcements, early booking access, and the event documentation when your spot is confirmed. We do not send promotional emails or share your details.
How will tickets work?
When an event is confirmed, list members receive a private booking link. Payment is processed securely. Once your spot is paid for, you'll receive a confirmation email along with the link to complete your event documentation.
How will I know when booking opens?
By email. List members are notified before tickets are released to the wider public, and given a window to book first.
What happens after I join the list?
You'll receive a short confirmation email letting you know you're on the list. The next message you receive will be the announcement for the next gathering, along with everything you need to reserve a spot.
